The GPID, which recognizes and rewards those making significant contributions to the field of water desalination, visited the ITC facilities to learn about projects such as DESALRO 2.0, EERES4WATER, DESAL+, and Sol2H2O, which highlight the commitment to developing technologies that are not only efficient but also environmentally friendly.
Esmeralda Leyva from TEHA was the representative who visited the area where the DESAL+ Living Lab projects are located, getting to know the value of these projects and the potential they hold for making a significant global impact. She was accompanied by Baltasar Peñate, head of the ITC’s water department, who expressed the enthusiasm about the possibility of participating in the GPID and believes that our involvement could contribute valuable insights and advancements to the competition.
This visit paves the way for future collaborations that could bring innovations from the DESAL+ LIVING LAB Platform to a global stage, allowing us to share our knowledge and learn from other leaders in the field. During the visit, there was anticipation for the next steps in this exciting journey and for the opportunities that lie ahead.
